Prempt Inc (“Prempt,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an AI front-desk assistant that answers calls and text messages for small businesses (the “Services”). We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you use the Services.

By using the Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

Account Information: your name, email address, phone number, password, and business details you provide during signup.
Communications Data: emails, SMS and MMS messages, call recordings and transcripts, calendar events, and other content you choose to connect to Prempt.
Mobile and SMS Data: your mobile phone number, your consent to receive text messages, and the content, timing, and delivery status of messages sent to or from our numbers.
Financial Data: if you connect payment or accounting services (for example, QuickBooks or Plaid), we may collect transaction details necessary to provide the Services.
Device and Usage Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, log data, and how you interact with our Services.
Third-Party Integrations: information from platforms you connect (for example, Google, Apple, Twilio, bank accounts, or social platforms), subject to your permissions.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Deliver, personalize, and improve the Services.
Automate tasks such as scheduling, invoicing, messaging, and reminders.
Send you the text messages you have asked to receive, including demo replies, onboarding confirmations, appointment reminders, and service notifications.
Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve performance.
Ensure security and prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse.
Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

With Service Providers: vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, telecommunications carriers and messaging providers, analytics, customer support, and payment processors.
With Integrations You Authorize: when you connect third-party apps, we share the information necessary to provide those integrations.
For Legal Reasons: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request.
Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
With Your Consent: when you direct us to share information in other ways.

4. Mobile Information and Text Messaging

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We collect your mobile number and your consent to be messaged only when you provide them to us directly — either by sending a text message to one of our published numbers, or by entering your number and checking the consent box on our signup form. We never purchase or rent mobile numbers or opt-in lists.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us, and you can reply HELP for assistance. Opting out of text messages does not remove your account; see Section 5 for account deletion.

If you are a customer of a business that uses Prempt, that business is responsible for obtaining your consent to be contacted. Prempt processes those messages on the business’s behalf.

5. Your Choices

Access and Update: you can update your account information within your account settings.
Data Portability: you may request a copy of your information.
Delete Account: you can request deletion of your data and account at any time by emailing privacy@prempt.ai.
Opt Out of Messages: reply STOP to any text message, or unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected information from a child, we will delete it promptly.

9. International Users

If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may not provide the same protections as your jurisdiction.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Services. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
